The iconic Playstation game Gran Turismo 5/6 featured six secret bonus cars in a stealth livery available using a special code when purchasing the signature edition of the game.
Our client, based in Japan, wanted to replicate this livery style on his Tesla Model 3 to race in the All Japan EV-GP series run by the Japan Electric Vehicle Race Association (JEVRA).

The JEVRA series races at some of the most iconic Japanese racing circuits: Motegi, Tsukuba Circuit, Sodegaura Forest Raceway and Fuji Speedway. Some of these circuits featured in the Playstation game, thus giving another reason to create this tribute livery.
In addition to the jet black base, with white details, the client wanted his company logos (WIKISPEED and AGILE BUSINESS INSTITUTE) altered to resemble the Polophony and Gran Turismo logos on the original game cars. We joined in with the fun and changed our logo for this car only to resemble the original Playstation logo from that time.
During the design and development stage, photo-realistic 3D visuals were produced to help with the clients visualisation of the livery for sign-off. Once the design was completed, a full batch of photo-realistic visuals (as shown) were prepared, the livery files compiled and then sent to the teams chosen vinyl application company in Japan.
