A basic design on how they wanted the finished car to look along with Yas Marina reference graphics were supplied by the factory for us to use to complete the design.
From supplied 3D data, the Radical SR10 XXR was completed and setup ready for the design process to begin. The panels were separated ready for design for each to be developed as due to the intricacies of the design we decided that this was the best approach. We use the 3D model for our livery designs to obtain the highest accuracy possible for the design so that the finished vehicle is as close as possible to the completed design visuals. It also enables the production of high-quality visuals to aid our clients visualisation of the livery during the design and development phase.
The completed intricate design with all the separate design panels was then put together on the race car 3D model to form the coherent flowing design. Once the design was finalised, a full batch of photo-realistic visuals (as shown) were prepared for approval.
Because of the way we create our liveries in 3D and export our designs, a system we have developed and mastered over the past 20+ years, enabling separate vinyl panels to be be applied, with the confidence of repeatable and perfect alignment.
