Upon initial consultation, the requested styles that were to be retro art car and retro racing from the cars of this era.
Using the Approved Performance colour palette, some initial concepts were produced using flowing sweeps and stripes running from front to rear. Variations in base colour were explored. The client also wanted to explore the Warsteiner BMW look that was raced when this car was first manufactured.
We eventually developed this concept of the BMW art car style design flowing into and through the retro race inspired rear end graphics using the company colours to blend the two styles together to create this coherent and exciting new look.
During the approval and consultation process high quality photo realistic visuals are provided to help our clients visualise the design concept exactly how it will be re-produced on the finished car.

With our 3D livery production and the exporting of our design, a system we have developed and mastered over the past 20+ years, it enabled us to send the completed designs and files to the selected vinyl company to reproduce the accurate design in vinyl.
Part of the finalising process along with a selection of photo realistic 3d visuals is the creation of a series of orthographic views of the car and livery. This is done to aid the vinyl production/application process with colour and layout notes plus the sizes of all the individually applied sponsor and company logos.
